About this beer

Country Beer is a collaboration between Country and Hop Butcher for the World, a drinkable beer to have in your provisions if the roads become impassable. The 5.1% ABV beer is conditioned on Balaton Cherries and brewed with Pilsner Malt and Crystal Rye from Sugar Creek and hopped with Spalter Select and a dusting of New Zealand Cascade. The flavor profile presents notes of rich loam, thyme, pineapple, apple blossoms, and lime pith.

Naturally carbonated and brewed/bottled at vs/vs Brewing in Ravenswood, Joe Kraft’s artwork on the label depicts a whimsical scene of sheep driving vintage cars, with the text “is/was” prominently displayed. The beer underwent 10 months of production time with fermentation occurring in stainless steel, and was released in October 2025. Expect sedimentation, and store/chill upright.
