The News
Oskar Blues announced the release of Dale’s IPA Mix Pack and Neon Rodeo Slightly Sour on March 23, 2026. The mix pack includes three IPAs—Easy IPA, American IPA, and Double IPA—and is available as a year-round variety pack. Neon Rodeo, a limited-edition fruited ale that was previously only available on draft at the Oskar Blues Brevard Brewery & Taproom, is now being released more widely.
The Takeaway
Legacy Reinforcement: Oskar Blues is leveraging its iconic Dale's Pale Ale roots by expanding into IPAs with a year-round mix pack that includes Easy IPA, American IPA, and Double IPA. This move taps into the brand’s history of innovation, starting with the first craft beer in a can back in 2002, showing how they continue to shape consumer expectations for bold, canned craft beer.
Limited Edition Strategy: The release of Neon Rodeo Slightly Sour marks Oskar Blues’ return to fruited sours after several years without new offerings. By making it available only on draft at their Brevard location before a wider rollout, the brewery is creating exclusivity and buzz around this slightly sour ale, which could help build brand loyalty among craft beer enthusiasts who value unique, seasonal releases.
Product Diversification: The combination of a year-round IPA mix pack with three distinct IPAs and a limited-edition fruited ale shows Oskar Blues’ strategy to cater to both regulars and adventurous drinkers. This approach allows the brewery to maintain its core identity while experimenting with new flavors, which is crucial in a competitive craft beer market where variety can drive repeat purchases.
Original Press Release
(LONGMONT, CO) MARCH 23, 2026 — This month, Oskar Blues — the trailblazing craft brewery that created Dale’s Pale Ale, the original craft beer in a can — is expanding its portfolio with two fresh offerings: Dale’s IPA Mix Pack, a new year-round variety pack featuring three fan favorites from the Dale’s line (Easy IPA, American IPA, and Dale’s Double IPA) together in one box, and Neon Rodeo Slightly Sour, a limited-release, slightly sour fruited ale.
When Dale’s started canning craft beer at Oskar Blues Brewery in 2002, the beer industry laughed — but then they cracked open a can. It was a trailblazing shift that rewrote the rules and helped convince the industry that bold, high-quality craft beer belonged in cans, too.
Honoring the same boundary-crushing spirit, the Dale’s IPA Mix Pack celebrates what Dale’s does best: bold flavor, hoppiness, and drinkability. With three cans of Dale’s Easy IPA (a 4.9% brew inspired by the fan-favorite “Pinner Session IPA,” packed with tropical and citrus aromas), six cans of Dale’s American IPA (a classic West Coast-style IPA with hints of citrus and pine), and three cans of Dale’s Double IPA (a balanced, hop-forward Imperial IPA), this pack is built to keep the cooler stocked and the good times rolling.
Also releasing this month under the Oskar Blues banner is Neon Rodeo, the brewery’s first new beer in several years. Previously only available on draft at the Oskar Blues Brevard Brewery & Taproom, this slightly sour fruited ale is now getting the broader rollout it deserves. Enhanced with zesty lime, refreshing raspberry, and a touch of tartness that keeps it crisp and easygoing, Neon Rodeo serves up a bright profile and refreshing finish — suited for the barstool, dance floor, or beach, day or night.
“Dale’s has always been about hops and approachability: crushable beers that show up with serious flavor,” says Aaron Baker, Brand Director, Oskar Blues Brewery. “The IPA Mix Pack, which is made up of three of the most-loved IPAs in the Dale’s family, was a natural next step for us. Neon Rodeo has been a taproom favorite for years. It’s bright, slightly tart, and made for people who want something playful and a little unexpected.”
The Dale’s IPA Mix Pack is shipping to select states this month. Neon Rodeo will be nationally available from March until July in 6-packs of 12-oz cans and on draft.
