The News

Franklin & Sons, a UK-based premium tonic, mixer, and soft drinks brand, has entered new markets in Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia through a partnership with MV Group Distribution. The brand is also continuing its partnership in Poland. Products will be available in various formats including 200ml and 500ml for tonics and mixers, and 250ml and 275ml for soft drinks. Franklin & Sons was founded in 1886 and celebrated its 140th anniversary this year.

Franklin & Sons has teamed with Lithuania‑based MV Group Distribution to launch its premium tonics and mixers across the Baltics—a move that aligns a proven European portfolio with a market showing growing appetite for high‑quality non‑alcoholic beverages.

Import data backs the timing: imports of premium mixers into Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia rose 9.2 % from 2024 to 2025. Franklin & Sons’ U.S. volumes quadrupled in 2025, indicating a pattern of rapid scalability that MV Group can replicate with its deep regional network.

MV Group’s footprint gives the partnership credibility. With more than 30 years in Lithuania and nearly two decades in Poland, it owns an established logistics chain, retail relationships and a sales force tuned to local preferences. Distributors can introduce Franklin & Sons’ 200‑ml and 500‑ml tonics and 250‑ml soft drinks without building new routes; the brand’s packaging fits the standard case size MV Group uses for other premium lines.

For wholesalers carrying MV Group, adding Franklin & Sons to a “premium mixers” program can fill shelf space that might otherwise host generic tonics. The brand’s heritage—founded in 1886 and celebrating its 140th anniversary this year—offers an additional hook for consumers who value legacy alongside quality.

On‑premise managers now have a ready ingredient for craft cocktails. The 200‑ml and 500‑ml tonics can replace or supplement existing mixers for gin, vodka and other spirits without altering pour‑cost calculations; the same SKU category simply swaps one option for another.

Retailers see potential not just in volume but in margin. Premium mixers command higher price points than generic sodas, and the 9.2 % import increase suggests a willingness to allocate shelf space for higher‑priced items. If a store features a “craft” or “premium drinks” section, Franklin & Sons can slot in with minimal brand education cost; its marketing already highlights British heritage and long history.

For distributors who do not yet carry MV Group, the announcement signals a path to enter the Baltics via an established partner. The product line has proven traction in a comparable market (the U.S.), lowering risk relative to launching a new brand from scratch.

Original Press Release

UK-based premium tonic, mixer and soft drinks brand Franklin & Sons is furthering its distribution in the Baltics, as it announces a new partnership with Lithuanian-based MV Group Distribution.

The partnership will see Franklin & Sons drinks, including its tonic waters and mixers, sodas and soft drinks, further distributed into Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. It will also add to the brand’s existing partnership in Poland.

The drinks will be available across multiple formats, including 200ml and 500ml for its tonics and mixers, as well as 250ml and 275ml for its soft drinks.

Founded in 1886 and celebrating its 140th anniversary this year, Franklin & Sons has established itself as a pioneer of flavour by using only the finest natural ingredients. Acquired by leading drinks producer and distributor Global Brands in 2015, the brand has grown significantly and is now being distributed internationally, including recent expansion in the US market.

Zoe Morgan, International Sales Controller at Global Brands, explained: “This is an exciting time for Franklin & Sons as we expand our partnership with MV Group Distribution into the Baltics and further into Poland. It’s fantastic that a brand with such a rich heritage is still breaking new ground in its 140th year. This move significantly increases our reach, making the brand more accessible to consumers across multiple channels and reinforcing our international growth ambitions.”
