The product launched earlier this month and will be fully available nationwide by summer.
  • Millennial & Gen Z Focus: The success of Josh Cellars Seaswept, which sold over 300K cases in its second year and grew 64% in CY 2025, shows the brand is effectively appealing to younger drinkers. Seaswept Sparkling continues this strategy by tapping into the growing demand for sparkling beverages among these demographics.
  • Product Line Strategy: Josh Cellars is leveraging the popularity of its white wine product, Seaswept, to build a broader portfolio that includes sparkling options. This approach reflects a calculated effort to meet evolving consumer preferences and maintain relevance in a competitive market.

Original Press Release

Josh Cellars, the #1 selling premium wine brand in the U.S., has announced an exciting new addition to its portfolio: Seaswept Sparkling (SRP: $14.99). Officially rolling out nationwide this spring, Seaswept Sparkling is a bright, citrusy sparkling wine created to serve as a refreshing and fun bubbly option for outdoor, warm-weather hangs. Josh Cellars Seaswept Sparkling began hitting shelves earlier this month, with full national distribution expected ahead of the summer.

The release of Seaswept Sparkling follows the tremendous success of Josh Cellars Seaswept, which launched in 2024. Created to be an easy-drinking white wine selection enjoyed during fun, daytime drinking occasions, Josh Cellars Seaswept was designed to refresh traditional perceptions of the wine category, with a focus on recruiting millennial consumers into the Josh Cellars Trademark. In its 2nd year on the market, Josh Cellars Seaswept depleted over 300K cases and achieved 64% growth in CY 2025, over-indexing in terms of buyers and volume with younger Millennial and Gen Z consumers—an important cohort for both brand and industry growth. With sparkling offerings like RTDs and seltzers becoming intrinsic to consumer consumption lifestyles, especially among younger LDA drinkers, Seaswept Sparkling is a natural extension of the success of the Seaswept product line within the Josh Cellars portfolio.

“We’re committed to continuing to produce great wines that meet the needs of consumers in an evolving set of beverage alcohol occasions,” said Dan Kleinman, CMO of Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits. “Seaswept Sparkling delivers everything people want in a beverage for more informal, higher-energy occasions where wine has traditionally not met needs as well as RTDs—crisp, refreshing, shareable, and above all, easy to enjoy.”

Sourced with grapes from California’s top growing regions, Josh Cellars Seaswept Sparkling is a balanced blend of 50% Chenin Blanc and 50% Colombard, with an ABV of 12.5%. The wine is bright and clean, with refreshing, lively bubbles and crisp flavors of citrus, green apple, and pear. It is best enjoyed chilled, served over ice, or used in a spritz or cocktail.

The national launch of Seaswept Sparkling will be supported by a comprehensive marketing campaign. To build awareness and excitement with consumers, the release will be amplified with a new advertising campaign running from Memorial Day through Labor Day, dedicated influencer content, PR activation, and exclusive tastings as part of the brand’s experiential tour at music festivals throughout the summer. At retail, Seaswept Sparkling will be supported with a range of digital and in-store tactics, including new, impactful point-of-sale displays beginning at launch, cross-merch collaborations, and geo-targeted pre-shop advertising peaking May through July.

Retailing at $14.99, Josh Cellars Seaswept Sparkling is on shelves beginning this month, with national availability expected by spring. Visit JoshCellars.com to learn more and to find it for sale near you.
